What's New?

  • Craigellachie Playpark secures People's Millions Lottery Funding  (published 08-02-2010)
Last year a group of parents from Craigellachie gained approval from Moray Council to develop a children's playpark in the Brickfield Road area of the village.  Having applied to the People's Millions for funding the project was shortleeted and appeared on the ITV regional news on 26th November, 2009, going 'head to head' in a public telephone vote with another project.
The Craigellachie playpark project won the vote with 2725 votes, almost 1000 more than the other project.  A grant of £31,050 has been offered to and accepted by the group who would like to thank everyone who voted for them.
It is hoped the new playpark will be up and running by the summer holidays.
