Young People's Health and Wellbeing
The results of a mapping exercise into services available for young people in the Buckie area are now available.

Parking Issues
Forum members are currently investigating and addressing parking issues in Buckie and Buckpool.  Cllr McDonald and CBO Kevin McPherson are working closely with the Forum and local shop owners on this.

See It, Report It
A new poster urging local people to come forward and report crimes to the police is currently being distributed around the area. This is the result of a joint initiative between the Area Forum and the Local Workers Group.

The Youth Voice enables young people aged 12-25 to discuss common concerns and ways of improving the quality of life in their area.

It is supported by the Local Community and Learning Development Worker (Youth) and provides representatives to the Moray-wide Youth Council.

What's New?
AMP
The group recently completed a couple of concerts over the Christmas period and they are continuing to work towards Youth Achievement Awards.  They hope to have a number of concerts over the summer and have been invited to perform at the 'Loft' in Keith and at an event for young people in Elgin.
Quines Club
The Quines Club recently held a well organised Burns Night - however, not many people enjoyed the haggis or the neeps!
Buckie Skate Park
The Skate Park Group has just completed two successful fundraising events including a bag pack at the Co-op, and a sponsored skate to Dundee Skatepark, which raised around £1,500.  The tenders to build the Skate Park have just been returned and the group hope to get the construction underway shortly and completed by late June this year.  The group hope to have a cutting event to thank all their funders and plan to launch the Skate Park with a grand opening at midsummer on 21st June.  This will coincide with a week of training and demonstrations for young people.
