 | Community Safety Debate
Grant McCutcheon, Police Liaison Officer and Andy Jamieson, Anti-Social
Behaviour Co-ordinator attended the February meeting of the Forum.
Andy gave a brief introduction to his role and ABC's (Acceptable Behaviour
Contracts). The future of Community Wardens was also discussed, as was
the recent vandalism in the Lossiemouth area. The Forum raised
concerns over the availability of car registration blocker spray and was
informed that it was not illegal, but was also not very effective. |
 | Moray Core Paths Plan
Ian Douglas, Outdoor Access Manager, met with the Tourism Action Group to
discuss the Moray Core Path Plan. The group was able to provide
valuable local knowledge to the process to help take the plan forward. |

The Youth Forum brings together
young people aged 12-25 to discuss common concerns
and ways of improving the quality of life in their
area.

 | First in Moray
The Community Learning and Development Worker and a teacher are delivering
Financial Awareness Training to sixteen 3rd year pupils in Lossiemouth High
School. This will lead to a Youth Achievement Award at bronze
level. This is the first of its kind in Moray and it may then be
repeated in other schools or youth work settings. |

Lossiemouth Drop-Ins
Drop-Ins in Lossiemouth Community Centres are continuing on Tuesday and
Wednesday evenings. The aim is to provide a safe, supportive for young
people to meet to discuss and develop projects. The music group is
actively pursuing funding. They also intent to access the facilities
in the newly opened Youth Cafe. |
 | Burghead Drop-In
The drop-ins at Burghead on Mondays and Wednesdays are continuing to operate
providing a focus for projects. The building of a Youth Shelter is the
main objective. |
