Making a Difference Protecting and Enhancing the Environment Secondary Pupils show Grasp of the Issues The Moray Environmental festival also coincided with a Secondary Schools Waste Prevention Competition. The Moray Council and SEPA organised the event, open to secondary schools across Grampian, which saw Forres Academy, Elgin High, Elgin Academy, Lossiemouth High and Alness Academy presenting their response to the following question "In today's disposable society, is it a case of convenience today, inconvenience tomorrow?" The quality of the presentations were excellent each delivering very clear and positive messages. After almost 45 minutes of deliberation, the judges finally announced Elgin Academy as the winners, Alness Academy in second place with Forres Academy coming third. Speaking afterwards, the students had obviously really enjoyed the event!
