Making a Difference Involving the Community Promoting the Attractions of the Laich o' Moray A new leaflet designed to attract more tourists to the Laich area of Moray, was distributed earlier this year to tourist outlets throughout the area. The idea for the leaflet came from members of the Laich Area Forum, who formed an Action Group to take it forward. The Group was led by Peter Fidgett, Vice Chair of Lossiemouth Business Association. Funding support for the initiative came from several local groups, including Burghead and Cummingston Community Council and Lossiemouth Business Association, as well as the Moray Council. The leaflet highlights many of the attractions in the area, some well-know, such as the Burghead Headland Visitor Centre, and some not-so-well-known, such as the Michael Kirk in the grounds of Gordonstoun School. There are also lots of attractive photographs of local beauty spots, as well as a large map featuring places to visit while walking along the coastal paths. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
