  • A survey into traffic and transport in Elgin will be taking place from 21 June-31 July.
  • The Moray Council will be conducting community engagement activities and a six-question survey from April to October.
  • The Scottish Government is consulting on the Community Empowerment (Scotland) Act 2015 - Community Planning Guidance and Regulation until 13 June.
  • Digital Services will be a Community Council agenda item from May to July.
  • The Woodland Strategy Call for Views is inviting comments and consultation with community councils/associations and all parties interested in woodland matters in Moray from May to June: point of contact is Emma Gordon on 01343 5633292.
  • The Wind Energy Supplementary Guidance will be sent to community councils and associations in May-June and a drop-in event for the public is being planned. The point of contact is Gary Templeton on 01343 5633470.
  • The Community Safety Strategy is undergoing review during the summer. Point of contact is Willie Findlay: 01343 563322.
  • Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) will be conducting consultation and engagement on their Strategic Plan and Local Fire and Rescue Plan from May to September.
  • The Harbours Consultation is ongoing from January to June. 
  • Integrated Children's Services will be holding a Young Carers' consultation from April-June. The Children's Services Plan and Self-Directed Support consultations will be ongoing throughout the year.   • Highlands and Islands Enterprise (HIE) ongoing engagement with interest groups (e.g. social enterprises, small businesses, etc.)
  • Police Scotland will be conducting ongoing online engagement activities.
  • Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) Station Managers with responsibility for each area attend local area forum meetings on a quarterly basis.
  • The Skills Development Scotland (SDS) team in Elgin are planning a series of events to support people looking for work.  One popup event will happen every month from March-December 2016.  Example planned events: CV tips; local labour market information; interview skills and employer updates.
  • The  Moray Council's Trading Standards team will be conducting ongoing engagement via their Twitter and Facebook accounts, and sending out customer surveys to get feedback on consumer advice, money advice and welfare benefits service users.
  • Ongoing activities will also be carried out for Regional Transport through a mix of formal written consultation and informal engagement with members of the public and/or community councils. For more information: Nichola Smith, 01343 563774.
